The manifestations of this syndrome are an irreversible mydriasis, iris atrophy and secondary glaucoma. Case report Deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty was done for keratoconus with a presumably healed corneal hydrops in a 21-year-old Caucasian man. The graft remained cl...
متن کاملRegression of Urrets-Zavalia Syndrome After Deep Lamellar Keratoplasty for Keratoconus: A Case Study
We report a case of pharmacologic regression of Urrets-Zavalia syndrome, following deep lamellar keratoplasty for severe keratoconus. Sympatholytic and parasympathomimetic drops were administered and a progressive reduction of mydriasis and restoring of pupillary kinetics were observed. Four years after surgery, it was resulting in only slight residual anisocoria.

DISCUSSION The ExPRESS implant is a useful tool for complex cases of post-surgical glaucoma where patients need to avoid post-operative inflammation and risks (corneal transplant patients).
